How to Safely and Properly Remove an eSIM from an iPhone
When It Is Safe to Remove an eSIM
Removing an eSIM profile from your iPhone is permanent: an eSIM cannot be restored using the original QR code once deleted. Remove the profile only under the following conditions:
The data plan is completely consumed or expired: Unilink eSIM purchases always include an active data package ready for use. Before deleting, open the Unilink app and check the card status under the My eSIMs tab. If the package is still active, keep the eSIM installed on your device.
The eSIM is single-use and no longer needed: If the plan does not support top-ups or you do not intend to travel to that destination again, you can safely delete the profile once your trip concludes.
You purchased a new eSIM for the same destination: Purchasing a new package from the store issues a brand-new eSIM profile. To avoid confusion between duplicate carrier lines in your iOS settings, remove the old, inactive profile before installing the new one.
Important: If your profile still contains active data or you plan to top it up for future trips, do not remove the eSIM. Simply toggle off the "Turn On This Line" switch in your cellular settings.

Go to Cellular (or Mobile Data).
Under the SIMs section, tap the Unilink eSIM profile you wish to delete.
Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete eSIM" (depending on your iOS version, this may be labeled "Remove Cellular Plan").
Tap to confirm when prompted by the system dialog.
