What to Do if There Is No Internet Abroad or 3G/E Is Displayed
What to do if there is no internet abroad or 3G/E is displayed (Manual Network Selection)?
If internet speeds are slow, your device shows a 3G or E icon, or the connection keeps dropping while traveling, the issue is typically caused by weak signal coverage or an automatic connection to an unstable local partner tower.
Instructions for iOS (iPhone)
Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).
Tap your active eSIM (e.g., Travel or Secondary).
Open Network Selection.
Toggle off Automatic and wait 30–60 seconds for the list of available carriers to load.
Select a recommended carrier manually from the list (for example: Viettel in Vietnam; Turk Telekom / Vodafone in Turkey; Beeline KZ in Kazakhstan (Tele2 is not supported); Cellfie / Geocell in Georgia).
Restart your phone or turn on Airplane Mode for 15 seconds, then turn it off.
Instructions for Android
Go to Settings > Connections / Mobile Networks > Network Operators (or Search Networks).
Toggle off Select Automatically.
Wait for the scan to finish and select the recommended local carrier from the list.
Ensure that Data Roaming is turned on in the Mobile Networks menu.
You can verify your connection speed on Speedtest.net. If the connection is still not restored, reach out to Unilink support chat—we will assist you with reconfiguring your profile.
