Can I Reuse My Unilink eSIM and How Do Top-Ups Work?
When an eSIM Can Be Reused
You can continue using a previously installed eSIM if all of the following conditions are met:
Top-up packages are available: The Unilink app offers add-on data packages for your specific card.
The eSIM profile remains installed: The eSIM profile has not been removed from your phone's cellular settings.
Travel is within supported destinations: The purchased top-up package covers your intended country of arrival.
Important: If you plan to reuse the card for future trips, do not delete it from your device settings. Simply toggle the eSIM off under "Cellular" / "SIM Manager" until your next trip. You can purchase top-up packages at any time as long as they remain available.
When an eSIM Cannot Be Reused
An eSIM profile cannot be reused in the following cases:
No top-up packages available: If no extensions or additional packages are offered for the profile, it is considered single-use. Once the data allowance expires or is depleted, you can safely remove the eSIM from your device.
Unsupported destination: Your upcoming destination is not covered by the current profile or its available top-up packages.
Quick Reference: Coverage Zones
Local eSIMs: Function exclusively within a single designated country.
Regional and Global eSIMs: Provide coverage across multiple countries within a region (e.g., Europe, Asia) or worldwide.
