Sharing Data (Personal Hotspot) with Unilink eSIM

Personal Hotspot support

Yes, internet sharing (Personal Hotspot / Wi-Fi tethering) is fully permitted and free of charge across all Unilink data plans in all supported countries, provided the feature is supported by your device and the local host network.

    • Leave the Username and Password fields blank.

  2. Turn on Personal Hotspot:

    • Return to the main Settings > Personal Hotspot menu.

    • Turn on the toggle for Allow Others to Join.

Setup instructions for Android (Samsung, Xiaomi, Google Pixel, etc.)

  1. Check APN (if needed):

    • If your destination plan requires a manual APN configuration, make sure it is saved in your SIM access point settings.

  2. Turn on Mobile Hotspot:

    • Open Settings (swipe down the notification shade and tap the gear icon).

    • Go to Connections (or Network & internet).

    • Tap Mobile Hotspot and Tethering (or Hotspot & tethering > Wi-Fi hotspot).

    • Turn on the Mobile Hotspot (Wi-Fi hotspot) toggle.

    • Make sure Unilink eSIM is selected as the primary source for mobile data.

What to do if devices cannot connect to your hotspot

  1. Restart both your phone and the connecting device.

  2. Verify that Data Roaming is turned on for your Unilink eSIM profile.

  3. If the internet still does not share, our support team will verify the correct APN for your destination country and check your active data plan.
